As we honor the 250th anniversary of the United States, Cache County proudly celebrates the enduring values, diverse heritage, and pioneering spirit that have shaped our community. “Timeless at 250” reflects our commitment to preserving our past, embracing our present, and inspiring the next generation. From the valleys and farms to our schools, families, and faith communities — we honor what lasts.

Cache County America250 Committee:

  • Barbara Tidwell
  • Karina Brown
  • Ernesto Lopez
  • Sallie Petersen
  • Dennis Wildman
  • Vanessa Ballam
  • Pam Budge
  • Gene Needham

Cache Valley is preparing to celebrate 250 years in 2026 with a community-led approach! Rather than planning every event directly, the committee is inviting schools, Bridgerland Technical College, Utah State University, churches, civic groups, cities, businesses, and families to create their own celebrations. The goal is to inspire, coordinate, and communicate.

Focus Areas:

  • Music, art, and cultural performances

  • Historical lectures and educational events

  • Patriotic parades, displays

  • Celebrations tied to the county fair and other community events

  • A time capsule project to preserve our community’s legacy

  • A potential commemorative coin or hat to mark the moment

Resources:

In 2026, Utahns will join with other states to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Utahns will come together to reflect on our nation’s past, build community, and look toward the future.
