Join USU Extension for Utah's second statewide trails and waterways cleanup!

From September 11 through 19, USU Extension is partnering with nature organizations, nonprofits, and local governments to encourage volunteers from across Utah to collect garbage in their communities and on public lands.
Utah’s public lands experienced a surge of outdoor recreation this year. While more people enjoying the great outdoors is inspiring, unfortunately, it has led to an increase in garbage ending up in trails, parks, neighborhoods, and eventually, in our waterways. No matter where you live, you are in a watershed. Everything we do in a watershed affects the water quality. The idea is to take initiative and act as stewards of our watersheds and public lands.
Find a local clean-up event near you, check out our map of suggested locations, or collect trash in your neighborhood, a local park, favorite trail, or nearby waterway. Anywhere trash is collected will have a positive impact on your local environment and water quality. We look forward to seeing Utahns outside taking care of our public lands and waterways.
