Could Logan build Cache Valley's first Mountain Bike and BMX Park?
UPDATE: want to see Logan City dedicate resources to Cache Valley's first mountain bike park? Then write a letter indicating your support, your willingness to volunteer, and how you think a bike park would benefit life in Logan, and send it to trails@cachecounty.gov
We'll compile the resulting letters and make sure that Logan staff and elected officials read them.
When it's cold outside, we here at the Trails Cache stay warm by the cold glow of autocad and photoshop on our computer screens. We've been coordinating with Logan Parks and Rec department, who has expressed an interest in placing a small mountain bike park facility within future park development at Bridger Park, currently home to Logan Community Gardens and some fine picnic areas.
Existing facilities would remainor be improved, and undeveloped terrain could evolve into technical trail features, progressive jump lines, and pump tracks - along with an upcoming pickleball court and multi-use fields. At this point, we're just playing with design ideas, and working towards rough cost estimates for what a facility like this would cost. If you have ideas for how this design could be better, or a particular type of bike park facility that should be included, don't hesitate to reach out. Or, if you would like to be part of getting this project off the ground, we will certainly be looking for partnerships that could help this project become a reality. Stay tuned here for more updates as the seasons turn, and designs get refined. But here's a first glimpse. Let us know what you think.
